Yoni is the sankrit term for vghina or womb referred to as the "sacred place". Yoni steaming or vaginal steaming requires squatting above a pot or bowl of hot water infused with herbs. This is done to take care of your sacred place. It helps to cleanse spiritually and emotionally. By doing so, a woman can reconnect to her inner being. Because the vagina is self cleaning, I would not refer to yoni steaming as a way of cleaning but as a way of cleansing; cleansing your womb of impurities.
